Engineer first.
AI second.
Good technology starts with understanding the system it has to fit into.
Hi, I'm Ryan Michaelis.
I'm a mechanical engineer by training, with a BSME from the University of Nevada, Reno. I've spent my career in the field — fiber optics, manufacturing, crane design, elevator systems, and industrial plant design — walking facility floors, measuring what's actually there, and designing solutions that have to work in the real world.
That background shapes how I approach AI. I don't start with the technology. I start with how your business really runs: where the bottlenecks are, what your team is tired of doing by hand, and which problems are worth solving first.
I started Nemequ because small and mid-sized businesses deserve the same advantages the big players are getting from AI — without the enterprise price tag or the consultant-speak.

The newest technology works best when it's guided by an old idea: understand first, then act.
What you can count on.
Straight talk
If AI isn't the right answer for a problem, you'll hear that from me — before you've spent anything.
People first
Technology should make your team's work better, not make your team smaller. That's the standard every project is held to.
In it for the long run
Launch is the beginning. Ongoing support means your tools keep working — and keep improving — long after go-live.
